Pretzel Bun Smash Burgers with Fried Pickle and Ranch Dip

Skip the grill! Our Smash Burgers cook quickly - and get tastefully crispy - when you cook them in a hot cast iron skillet. Try them double stacked, topped them with our Fried Pickle and Ranch Dip and served on a hearty pretzel bun, you’ll be left wondering why you haven’t always made burgers this way.

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb ground beef

  2. 4 slices American (or another melty variety) cheese

  3. 4 Pretzel Buns

  4. Fried Pickle and Ranch Dip

  5. Tomato

  6. Onion

  7. Lettuce

Instructions

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet on a medium/high heat burner.

  2. Separate ground beef into eight equal balls and flatten them slightly to form a puck shape.

  3. Get your other ingredients ready - these cook fast!

  4. Put two of the pucks of ground beef into the pan and use spatula to smash them flat. It’s OK if they stick or fall apart a little.

  5. Flip the burgers once they look half finished.

  6. When cooked, add cheese to one burger and place the second burger on top.

  7. Remove from heat, serve and enjoy!

Note: These tend to get a little smoky, so sensitive smoke detectors beware!
