Smoked Carnitas Street Taco Dip Quesadillas

Step up your homemade quesadillas with our new, limited-time Taste of the South Smoked Carnitas Street Taco Dip! All you need to make this recipe is a stove, tortillas, chicken, butter and our Carnitas Street Taco Dip. If you have a pound of chicken, a bag of cheese and our shareable size Dip, you’ll have plenty of ingredients to feed a family of four.

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice about a pound of chicken (more or less depending on how many quesadillas you’re making.

  2. Pour 1/4 tsp of avocado oil into a non-stick pan and set it to medium heat.

  3. Once the pan is hot, add the chicken and cook until the internal temperature is 165 degrees.

  4. Add a generous scoop of our Smoked Carnitas Street Taco Dip to evenly coat and sauté the chicken. Remove from heat.

  5. In a second pan, melt butter and lay a tortilla flat in the center.

  6. Add about 1/4 cup of cheese to one half of the tortilla and top the cheese with your preferred amount of cooked and coated chicken.

  7. Fold the tortilla in half to cover the cheese and chicken.

  8. When the bottom of the tortilla is golden brown, flip it over and cook the second side.

  9. Once golden brown on both sides, remove from heat, slice and serve warm with a side of the Smoked Carnitas Street Taco Dip for dipping.
